By using CollegeMate, you agree to comply with these Terms of Service in full.

2. Eligibility

By registering as a CollegeMate, you confirm that you are legally authorized to work and receive payments in the United States.

3. User Accounts

• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials.
• All information you provide must be accurate and truthful.
• We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

4. Services Provided

CollegeMate facilitates connections between users for educational and mentoring services. We do not guarantee specific outcomes or the quality of services provided by users.

5. Payments & Fees

• Payments are processed securely via Stripe, PayPal, or Venmo.
• Processing fees typically range from 3% to 5%. Please refer to Stripe or PayPal for current rates.
• International transactions may incur additional fees based on the origin country.
• CollegeMate charges a 15% platform fee on all service transactions.
• Users are responsible for any applicable taxes, which may be added to the total booking amount.

6. Prohibited Conduct

Users must not:

• Engage in fraudulent, abusive, or illegal activities.
• Impersonate others or misrepresent their identity.
• Violate the intellectual property or privacy rights of others.

7. Disclaimers & Limitation of Liability

• The CollegeMate platform and services are provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
• We are not responsible for disputes between users or any resulting damages.
• Our liability is limited to the total amount paid to us by you in the past three (3) months.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at our discretion if you violate these Terms. You may also delete your account at any time.

9. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use of the platform after updates constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
